A wonderful uplifting quote from Winnie the Pooh when he is sitting on a log talking to his friend Piglet.

"Today was a Difficult Day," said Pooh.

There was a pause.

"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Piglet.

"No," said Pooh after a bit. "No, I don't think I do."

"That's okay," said Piglet, and he came and sat beside his friend.

"What are you doing?" asked Pooh.

"Nothing, really," said Piglet. "Only, I know what Difficult Days are like. I quite often don't feel like talking about it on my Difficult Days either.

"But goodness," continued Piglet, "Difficult Days are so much easier when you know you've got someone there for you. And I'll always be here for you, Pooh."

And as Pooh sat there, working through in his head his Difficult Day, while the solid, reliable Piglet sat next to him quietly, swinging his little legs...he thought that his best friend had never been more right.

Reading at Home

Hi everyone, Miss Cunningham here! I hope you are all keeping safe and well at home.

I know that lots of you have read all of the reading books which you took home with you form school and are keen to read more. I ma really pleased to hear this and I have been searching for more books for you to read.

I have found that Accelerated Reader have provided access to 7,000 books for you to read at home. There are some really exciting books available on their site and lots which we do not have in school so you might want to read those too! There are all different levels so they are suitable for everyone to read both alone or with someone else. Just click the link below to visit the site. laugh

Don't forget to complete your book reviews each time you finish reading a book. This will help you to keep your comprehension skills in good use ready for when we return to school and begin quizzing again in Key Stage 2.

I would like to have an assembly when we are back to share our top book recommendations which we have read whilst we have been off so feel free to prepare a speech to share with us all about your favorite book. Also, it would be great to hear if you would recommend any books for us to add to our school library too.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon and KEEP READING!! winkyes
