School Values

Our school values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.

Vision and Aims.

At Murrow Primary Academy, we all work tirelessly to ensure that every child leaves this school prepared for life ahead; having aspirations and a solid understanding of how they can achieve their full potential.

Our school values were updated in October 2024 to reflect our whole school vision for our pupils. Our school values are - Resilience, Pride, Respect, Kindness and Aspirations. We talk to the children throughout their lessons and in assemblies about how they are demonstrating our school values as well as celebrating a member of each class every Friday in our celebration assembly who has shown the school values that week.

We make our school rules simple – Be Safe, Be Ready, Be Responsible.  All behaviour in life can be managed with these simple rules, the children cannot forget them, the staff are then consistent and parents can work closely with us.

The final word needs to be "every minute learning".  Children are encouraged to embrace this and strive to do so.
