Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) & Citizenship

Work is planned appropriately for all classes to enable children to develop personally and socially. Aspects covered include friendships and relating to those around us, feelings and how we cope with them, manners and different social contexts, care of our bodies and keeping healthy, growing up and sex education, the use of medicines and drugs and protecting ourselves in various situations. We participate in the SEAL (Social, Emotional Aspects of Learning) programme which further highlights the importance of this area which is embedded throughout the curriculum.

If you would like more information, this area is led by Mrs Tomlin.

The promotion of high self esteem is considered important for all children.

We achieved the National Healthy School Status award in 2007 with involvement from the whole community.
