Class 2

Summer term in class 2

Our new topic in class 2 is oh I do like to be beside the seaside! Don't forget on Tuesday 13th April we will be having a beach day at school, where children can come into school wearing beachwear.

In English we still start by learning the story the storm whale then we will work on innovating the story to create our own. We will be writing our own postcards and look at rhyming poetry.

In maths year ones will be working multiplication and division, fractions and position and direction.

Year twos will be working on length and height, position and direction and time.

In the afternoons during topic lessons we will be doing a range of subjects including history where we will be finding out about Victorian holidays and comparing them to modern holidays. In science we will be looking at everyday materials and their properties. In art we will be creating our own Punch and Judy puppets and recreating some famous artwork.
