Information Technology develops children’s skills and understanding of our modern world. Children gain confidence working with computers and programmable models, which are used in most curriculum areas. The academy offers a variety of computers and software, (Microsoft Windows), I-pads and programmable models.
Before any form of ICT work is completed, Internet Safety is discussed, taught and reviewed by all children. We use CEOP resources, both in lessons and through assembly times. Parent workshops are also held to ensure that there is awareness of what we are saying and also help for parents to keep their children safe in the online world.
The Computing curriculum is taught to our children to ensure they become digitally literate and can understand and apply the fundamental principles and concepts of computer science, including abstraction, logic, algorithms and data representation .
